Kumpletuhin ayuda! LGUs urged to include health kits in food
packs
By Billy Begas
A
lady solon urged local government units (LGUs) to include health kits to the
food packages that will be distributed to families under the Enhanced Community
Quarantine (ECQ).
Assistant
Majority Leader and ACT-CIS Rep. Niña Taduran said the kit should contain
vitamins and other supplements aside from the usual facemasks and face shield.
At
the same time, Taduran called on LGUs in the NCR plus bubble to immediately
release the assistance especially to families who are on a hand-to-mouth
existence.
“Marami
Taduran
said some are forced to violate the quarantine protocol to look for money to
buy food.
linggo,” she added.
Taduran
and other ACT-CIS Representatives Eric Yap and Jocelyn Tulfo have distributed
millions worth of rice and health kits in the depressed areas in Metro Manila
and Cavite following the implementation of ECQ.
