Kamara sa publiko: Huwag kampante kahit may bakuna na

Nanawagan ang mga lider ng Kamara de Representantes sa publiko na ipagpatuloy ang pagsunod sa health protocols upang hindi mahawa ng COVID-19.

“While we understand that more businesses are reopening and people want to resume normal activities, we have to maintain our health protocols until the COVID-19 threat is effectively addressed by our vaccination program,” ani Speaker Lord Allan Jay Velasco.

Apat na magkakasunod na araw nakapagtala ng mahigit 3,000 dagdag na kaso ng COVID-19 ang bansa. Pinangangambahan na umakyat ito sa 6,000 kada araw bago matapos ang Marso.

“Now is not the time to let our guard down,” ani Velasco. “We have to wait until such time a greater number of Filipinos are vaccinated and herd immunity has been achieved.”

Ipinaalala naman ni Assistant Majority Leader at ACT-CIS Rep. Niña Taduran na kahit na mabakunahan ay maaari pa ring mahawa ng COVID-19 kaya hindi dapat balewalain ang protocol.

“Pagod na ba tayo sa pagsunod sa mga health protocols? Nagmamadali ba tayong bumalik sa normal ang negosyo at pagbabiyahe? Let us not forget that even with the vaccines coming in, the infection is still here and spreading. We have to be wary also of the new variants which spread faster than the original strain,” ani Taduran.

Nanawagan din si Taduran sa mga lokal na pamahalaan upang gamitin ang Barangay Health Emergency Response Team upang matiyak na sumusunod ang publiko sa health protocol.
